Do you have pants hanging in your closet that never get worn because they don’t fit quite right? Tired of paying to have your jeans hemmed? This class will teach the basics of pant alterations for the average home sewer utilizing hand sewing and machine sewing skills. This is an intermediate class for people who have taken the some prior sewing experience.
Two 2-½ - hour sessions. Fee: $45

Take your sewing skills one step further and make a men’s or women’s vest. Students will continue to refine their sewing skills and accuracy, stitch a lining and learn the basics of creating machine buttonholes. Students are asked to come to the first session of the class with the pattern and fabric already cut out for the vest they have chosen to make. . This is an advanced intermediate class for people who have taken our intermediate I sewing class or have equivalent sewing experience.

Come rediscover what your grandmothers knew--knitting is relaxing, challenging, and fun. This class will focus on the very basic skills.  You'll learn how to knit and purl, cast on and bind off, measure gauge, and read basic knitting patterns. With these skills, you'll be able to take on your first project, and your instructor will help you get started.  Pick from one of our projects (sassy backpack, cozy hat, patterned scarf) or choose your own!
