We require pre-registration for all of our classes.  To register; you can stop by the store or give us a call at 206-709--0707 with your credit card information. Classes fill up fast and are first come, first serve.  Fourteen days notice is required to reschedule or cancel any class for a refund.

Beginning Knitting

You can knit! You will be making a felted tote bag in this class with a few simple skills. The objective of this class is to get you comfortable with the knitting needles, learn the basic stitch which all other stitches derive, and have a bag you’ll be proud to say "I made it myself!" You will also learn a few other tricks not taught in any other beginning class as your new skills unfold. There is no prerequisite to take this class as it is designed for those without any knitting experience. Warning: Knitting can be addictive!

Intermediate Sewing - Knits

If you have skills to sew with patterns using woven fabrics, and wish to learn how to work with knits, this will be a great class for you. For the class you can choose to make a pair of panties, boxer briefs, leggings, or yoga pants. You have several pattern options to choose from, including men’s and plus size options. This is an intermediate class for people who have taken our intermediate skirt class or have recent equivalent sewing experience.

All while creating a fun pair of casual cotton pants or pajama bottoms! This is a beginning class for people with little prior sewing experience. If you have never used a sewing machine, we recommend taking the Beginning Sewing – Bag or Apron class first.

Advanced Sewing – Button Up Collar Shirt

Sleeves, plackets, basic fitting issues, collars, cuffs, button holes, and more. This class has it all. In this three session class you will make a collared, button up shirt. You can select from a crisp tailored shirt, or something more casual. Like all of our sewing classes, there is a maximum of 4 students, so you will get lots of teacher attention. After taking this three-session class, you will certainly be able to take on other complex projects with confidence. All pattern pieces and fabric should be cut out prior to the first session, to maximize class time. This is an advanced class for people who have taken skirt or vest class or have similar sewing experience. SOME HOMEWORK BETWEEN CLASSES WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE SHIRT IN THE 3 SESSION CLASS TIME. PLEASE BRING YOUR LEFT OVER FABRIC SCRAPS FOR IN CLASS SAMPLES.
