How do I sign up for a class?
To sign up for a class at Stitches you can stop by the store or give us a call (11am - 7pm) at 206-709-0707. We do require pre-payment for all classes. Classes fill up fast so sign up early.
Can I reschedule the class I signed up for?
We require 14 days notice to reschedule or cancel a class for a refund. If we have classes with open sessions we can reschedule you into another class (if you call us 14 days prior to the class you are schedule to attend). If we do not have any classes with openings and you contact us prior to the 14 day cut-off we will refund the class fee.
How does the project workspace work?
Customers are welcome to use our classroom to work on their projects. However, there are a few rules:
- The classroom is open to customers on a limited basis. You can check our open studio schedule via the website.
- The space and machines are first come - first serve. There is a $5 per hour fee to use the studio space and machines.

If you are using one of our sewing machines, you must know how to use a sewing machine. The machines are generously on loan from Quality Sewing and Vacuum. Because of this loan we are able to have such nice machines. Please be very careful.

Please bring (or purchase here at the store) all of the supplies you need for your project; i.e. scissors, pins, fabric, tape measure, etc.

Our employees are happy to help you with little bits of advice. However, can't make it for you :-)
Where exactly are you located?
Stitches is located on Pike between Harvard and
Boylston on Capitol Hill. We are across the street from the BMW dealership and a half block from the QFC on the south end of Broadway.
Do you do custom tailoring or alterations?
Sorry, we are a DIY type of store.

We are open everyday (seven days a week) 11am to 7pm. We are closed the following holidays:

We carry fabric, yarn, patterns, ribbon, thread, notions, needle felting supplies and a large variety of other goods. Feel free to give us a call at 206-709-0707 (11am - 7pm) if you are looking for something specific.
