3/03 & 3/10 Sewing 102 – Pants
March 3 & 10, 6:30pm - 9:00pm (Tuesdays)
This is a beginning class for people with some prior sewing experience. If you have never used a sewing machine, we recommend taking the Beginning Sewing 101 class first.
Learn the basic skills you need in order to begin sewing from patterns. In this class you’ll learn how to read a pattern, cut it out, piece a garment and make hem and waistband. All while creating a fun pair of casual cotton pants or pajama bottoms!
Two 2 ½ - hour sessions.
Tools and materials needed (Available at Stitches):
2" X 18" Ruler
Chalk or Fabric Pen
New Look pattern 6005, 6013, 6233, 6273, 6292, 6271, 6321, 6330, 6402, 6403, 6404, 6710, 6764, 6777, 6816, 6838, or 6859.
Amount of cotton or cotton blend fabric called for on the pattern for the size pants you wish to make (pre-washed before the class).
1 package elastic (width called for on pattern)
13 years old and up, younger students may be allowed with instructor approval. Please contact us with questions.
