This is a beginning class, no prior weaving experience required.
This old-world craft has recently been revived with wonderfully contemporary touches. Join us for a two-part class on the basics of weaving and construct your own beautiful woven tapestry! Learn how to warp a simple wooden loom, how to add fringe, create a variety of textures and other fun techniques to create a work of art for your wall. Two 2 ½ - hour sessions. Tools and materials needed (Available at Stitches): (price includes yarns and fibers, however you will need the other items on the list*)
Dimensions 12"x16" Weaving Loom Warp String (Alternatives: hemp, cotton or thin jute twine) Weaving Comb & Yarn Needles Small pair of scissors *A variety of fibers and yarns will be provided, but feel free to bring your own scrap yarn to play with as well!
15 years old and up, younger students may be allowed with instructor approval. Please contact us with questions.
