We are located at 711 E Pike St in Seattle's Capitol Hill.
Independent and locally owned since 2004, Stitches provides fashion fabric, notions, and yarn to designers, home sewers, and creative people throughout the Puget Sound area. We are not your typical fabric store. Our focus is on interesting and new products and an atmosphere to reflect that attitude.
At Stitches you'll find a great selection of quality products. Every bolt of fabric, notion, and skein of yarn is hand-picked by our buyers who are dedicated to the needs of our customers. We have a large selection of silks, wools, stretch fabric, cotton prints, canvas, oilcloth, faux fur, costume fabric; and the list goes on. If you’re looking for something special, give us a try. We bring in all sorts of unusual one-of-a-kind fabrics
Additionally, we have a great notion wall; including one of the largest selections of buttons in the city. We carry a great selection of Cascade yarns for your knitting and crocheting needs. And we have all sorts of ribbons, trims, feathers and crafty items to add a special touch to any project.
To top it all off, we offer knitting, weaving, and embroidery classes. Our classes range from very beginner to more advance projects. Our teachers are all experienced and the classes small, so you get lots of one-on-one attention.
Stitches opened in 2004 by Amy Ellsworth. For a long time, Capitol Hill needed a store like Stitches. As a home sewer/crafter and long time Capitol Hill resident, Amy was happy to fill that void.
